Reflection

Doing this project i dicovered alot of awnsers about teen relationships. I learned why teens choose to be with there own race because they usually feel more open and comfortable with them. but in situations teens can more likly choose another race to have a relationship with. but theres also that 10% of teens that choose to hang with a diferent race.
My project went well because while i was doing my investigation i found awsers to my on questions and it really help me find out about myself and why i choose to have relationships with teens of a different race. If i could do things differently about my project i would make some videos or interviews and ask some teens what they think but for know im proud of my project.

Recommendations

After reviewing my old research question and my post have came up with 3 new question
1)do teens feel comfortable when making friends with other races of teen.
2)IF you go to a new school with teens of a different race of you what do you do
3)which race is more comfortable with making friends of different races black or white.

conclusion

After investigating the questions and the internet source i have came to the conclusion that teens will more likely choose to have relationships with teens of there same race but if put in situation such as a diversed school with different races teens will sometimes choose to date or be friends with a teen of another race.

After reviewing the article about teeen relationships on about.com I have s summarized that Teens are more likely to choose friends from within their own racial group in moderately racially mixed schools, with this likelihood greatest in schools where diversity is moderately high, according to an analysis of information from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development's (NICHD) Adolescent Health Study.

However, the analysis also found that in schools with the highest levels of diversity, the likelihood of choosing friends from one's own racial group decreases, and students are more likely to form friendships with people in other groups.

survey data

After reiviewing the survey on the question about race and friendship, 37% of teens said no there not more attracted to the same race of friends and and 47% of teens said yes they are more attracted to the same race of friends. So now i see teens are more atracted to friends of there same race.

Research Questions

1) Does race effect what friends you have?
2)Do teens of same race seem o be friends more with their race or others?
3)do teens that hang with other races?
